Pirates' Bookstore is always looking for current students to help continue making us a pleasant and welcoming bookstore for Modesto Junior College and the community. We normaly conduct interviews once a semester, usually in the middle. The hourly pay rate for student employees is the current minimum wage. ; ;In order to be considered for employment as a student employee, candidates must possess integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, sensitivity, ability to work with others, basic computer knowledge, strong communication skills, self-reliant, assertiveness, positive attitude and meet the following requirements: ; ;* Minimum unit requirement of at least: ; ; ; ; ;- 6 units during the Fall or Spring semester ; ; ; ; ;- 3 units during the Summer semester ; ;* You must be a US citizen or International Student authorized to work in the USProper documentation will be required upon acceptance of employment. YCCD requires all new employees, including students, to undergo fingerprinting for criminal history background checks ($59+, depending on livescan location). The cost of these checks are the responsibilities of new hires.
If you meet the above qualifications you may be invited to an interview. Interviews are conducted once a semester and applications are keep for the entire semester in which it was submitted. Interviewees are chosen by evaluating the current qualified pool of applications.
